āIām drawn to ordinary objects ā plastic toys, sequins, ribbons, and other materials often dismissed as cheap, decorative, or disposable. Through patient observation and deliberate brushwork, I elevate these overlooked items into subjects worthy of being deeply known.
I approach each object the way I might approach meeting someone new, with curiosity, attention, and the quiet thrill of discovering its quirks. As the paintings unfold, the objects begin to behave less like things and more like individuals, each with its own personality. They lean toward one another, cast their colors across a neighborās surface, and speak in the shared language of light.
At its heart, my work is an invitation to slow down, look closely, and witness the subtle bonds that can form between even the most unassuming of companions.ā
